POLIMEX TO ORGANIZE HELP FOR FLOODING VICTIMS IN POLAND

Polimex, a Polish-Canadian company, has partnered with Father Janusz Blazejak OMI to launch a heartfelt donation campaign aimed at supporting victims of the recent flooding in Poland. The goal is to collect one shipping container worth of goods, which will then be shipped to Poland by Polimex. The collected humanitarian aid will be distributed by the esteemed Polish charity organization Caritas, ensuring that those in need receive timely assistance. Additionally, Musket Transport has joined this noble effort to facilitate transportation to Montreal and help raise further donations. This collaborative initiative showcases the strength of community spirit and compassion in times of crisis.

Items will be collected in 8 churches on Sunday, October 6th, 2024:

  • Saint Anthony Parish in Oakville, 40 John St, Oakville, ON L6K 1G8
  • Saint Joseph Parish in Brantford, 235 Brant Ave, Brantford, ON N3T 3J4
  • Saint Theresa Parish in Etobicoke, 100 Tenth Street, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3G6
  • Sacred Heart Parish in Kitchener, 66 Shanley St, Kitchener
  • Our Lady of Czestochowa 419 Hill St, London

Goods that have been requested:

  • Tools (hammers, shovels, screwdrivers, nails.
  • Cleaning supplies
  • For kids: art materials, educational materials in English, backpacks, pens, markers, toys
  • Additional items: pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, duvet covers, diapers, sanitary pads.

Please make sure that items are new or in slightly used condition. We cannot accept electronic items due to different voltage.
Due to logistics and coordination, organizers are asking to bring donations in cardboard boxes with short descriptions of the items written on the box.
The goal is to collect one shipping container worth of goods, which will then be shipped to Poland by Polimex. Caritas Poland expressed willingness to cooperate with Polimex and to distribute goods to those who are in need.


The initiative will start on October 1st, 2024. and will end by October 6th (at the Parishes).
